[edit] Mawson Lakes Community News Update
Putting People in the Picture
| Why this Site? | Mawson Lakes is going to be an exciting place. Unfortunately, planning the Mawson Lakes Development and building the infrastructure, and encouraging people to live here is only half of the equation. This site is about keeping residents and workers alike informed about what is going on around the area. |
|---|---|
| The Official Website | There is no connection between this site and the one which is run officially by Delfin and it partners. |
| How? | Currently, the website is kindly hosted by CAE MRad, It runs on a Pentium running the RedHat Linux operating system. All of the software used to generate this site is 'open source' and freely available under the GNU public license. There are currently some issues regarding the use of '.gif' images on the site. |
| Future plans | Sometime, in the next six months, this site will be moved to a new home. This will coincide with the completion of a certain structure within the Parkway Village. The site will get a web address, and a whole lot of additional features.
This going to be something to look forward to, in the meantime, contributions of articles are always welcome and I'm on the lookout for anyone who whould like to write a regular (or not so regular) feature. |
| About the Editor | Paul Schulz has been involved in editing and publishing community newsletters in one form or another, for the last ten years. He has a honours degree in Physics and Mathematical Physics from the University of Adelaide, and now works as the Systems Administrator for CAE MRad, Innovation House. He and his wife Rebecca will soon be residing at Mawson Lakes. His hobbies currently include hacking around on his Linux computer, hacking around on other peoples computers (with their permission), house construction and home loan negotiations. |
