Also at last nights seminar: Mr Kevin Newbold of Telstra, reported that although there hasn't been any cable TV rollout in the rest of the country for the last two years, Mawson Lakes residents will be able to hook up in 4 weeks time. Telstra has given a commitment of $13.7 million to the infrastructure, with $7 million on enabled services (which I guess includes Cable). This puts Mawson Lakes between 3 to 5 years ahead of the rest of the country.

OK, so I build my house... install my common utility box with a common utility trench and a Cable TV decoder.. when do I get my cable modem? I only want to be able to run my e-commerce site, web portal, and quake server. While I'm at it, I'd like to connect the home management system as well. Have I missed anything?
