[edit] Seminar Report
Last night seminar, the first in the 'Design for Better Living', went really well with about 80 people in attendance. This was more than expected, as more chairs had to be set out. Most of the people in the audience where, or will be, residents and I daresay that it was the first opportunity that many of us have had to get together with other residents.
The talks were both very good. Mr Steve Russell (Subdivision Coordinator) spoke about the Service Requirements; Recycled water, Common Service Trench and Common Meter Box and Mr Tony Leverenz (Mawson Lakes Resident who also wears a Telstra hat from time to time) talked about the encumbrances and how they relate to the Home management system, as well as several other things.
Steve did an excellent job, and if you ever get the chance to listen to Tony speak, do so, because he's very entertaining (Quick summary: In the sunset, you can see why the modern Mercedies has 17 onboard computers, while Jim's Mowing visits between 3 and 4 pm on a Wednesday, but not on Sunday mornings.) It was a very good start to what should prove to be an excellent series of seminars. Look out for the next one: Tuesday 18 August, 6 pm. "Which Home Management System is best for you?"
