Received a shock in the mail last Thursday. I suppose I should consider myself lucky that we haven't built our house yet.

Maybe I should buy a wheelie bin and put it out, just to get my money's worth. (Is the council collecting rubbish from Mawson Lakes yet?)

The couple of brochures that came with the council rates were interesting, explaining the spending breakdown and the storm water levy. I still don't know why the rates need to be quite so high though.
